This vast contemporary home in the beautiful bayside suburb of Hampton needed an equally bold kitchen to match its surroundings. An entirely black kitchen, creating luxury and indulgence, and proving that using dark colours doesn’t have to equal dim and gloomy. We loved the challenge of using one colour in a range of materials and textures and focused on inventive ways to bring black into the space.

From a distance, this all black kitchen can appear to be minimal, but look a little closer to reveal careful integration of multiple materials, clever incorporation of hardware and appliances, and an abundance of light and luxurious finishes.
