A renovated beach shack designed for relaxing and enjoying the tranquillity of the seaside, this warm and inviting home forces you to unwind and embrace the calm of the peninsula. An alternative take on the traditional beach house aesthetic, our brief was to incorporate injections of blue tones amongst natural timbers, raw concretes and living brass fixtures.

A concreter by trade, our client wanted the kitchen hero to be a tactile cast concrete island bench set against the refined vibrant blue joinery. Like all things near the ocean, the concrete surface will patina with time and reflect the raw nature of beachside living.

Diamond patterned handmade tiles, which on closer inspection have delicate print work, decorate the walls behind concrete basins and living brass tapware that will lovingly tarnish with time. The bathroom and ensuite were set apart with differing colours, yet still spoke to each other in unison.
